The Thrift Shop sells donated clothing and household goods. It was founded over 5 years ago and has become a social focal point in the community as well as providing a source of inexpensive items and exciting bargains.

The nearest large shopping center is almost 30 miles away from this area. Having the Thrift Shop within walking or cycling distance is a real boon to those without transportation.

The Thrift Shop stocks children's clothes and toys, men's & women's apparel, shoes & handbags, sheets & towels, and kitchenware. The second-hand book shelves are particularly popular.

The Thrift Shop also acts as a clearing house for large items (eg, beds, refrigerators), matching up donors with those in need.

The Thrift Shop is operated by Reach Out Everglades and staffed entirely by volunteers.
